Law and Journalism Practice

his module focuses on the law as it applies in Ghana and any journalist/media person intending to practice will be required to study and understand the law. Therefore, the module looks at media law through a critical and theoretical lens, for students to acquire legal framework for journalistic/media practice.

Learning Outcomes
  • Exhibit deep understanding of the laws that guide journalism practice as well as constitutional and legal framework of media law
  • Demonstrate the capacity to relate media laws to the practice of journalism
  • Demonstrate critical analysis skills to understand how media law and legal issues impact journalism practice
